This kit surpasses GM OE parts. The alignment shop didn't have a single issue aligning my truck after I replaced the front end. Highly recommend!
For perfectly
This are a perfect fitment for a 2002 GMC Sierra and it came in perfect timing too because I went to change out my lower control arm and when i did i broke the bracket for adjusting the alignment. I was concerned it wasnt going to be an easy part to find but thankfully I was able to get this one. Comes with the replacement bolts and lines up perfect to OEM on the truck. As far as quality, i drive my truck all over the place all the time and havent had any issues. Installation is a pain because you more or less need to disassemble the entire wheel hub, brakes, control arms, etc.... to get to the part of the frame where these are installed. But no complaints. Good price too for the parts when compared to Autozone or other auto parts distributors. Driving the truck while it was broken was very sketchy. It would pull me all over the road and at random timings. The people in lanes around me would give me space because they probably thought I was drunk lol. Great parts, thank you!!
Between the weather and some preliminary work required; replacing cam pins, etc., I haven't had a chance to install this kit yet.So, I'll base this review on the kit itself in its uninstalled state in the meantime and when it has been installed, I will update this post with any tidbits that may be worth mentioning. The camber kit has everything included for the changeover and it certainly looks to be an improvement over the current set that I'll be replacing on an older Sierra. They are Geomet coated to help prevent against corrosion, excepting the nuts, which are zinc coated. As long as the steel plates and bolts live up to their rating, there should be no issues.
The part in the bag from the picture is a genuine GM part, # 15741217 that I had around from last time I changed an upper ball joint and control arm. If you are doing that job, you will most likely have to cut these off. I have also tried alignments and these corrode bad and sieze in the pretty short timeframe of a couple years. The dimensions of this part are almost identical to the genuine part when i set them on top of each other. No need to use presicion measuring, these dont need to be that tight of tolerances. The only noticeable difference is these are a bit thicker. That won't be an issue with my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500.These are a good value, dealers charge a lot more for these stamped pieces of metal. I don't like cheap parts but I would recommend these as a good alternative. The dealership near me had them in stock for a premium price but I couldn't get them anywhere else last time I needed them. Depending on where you live and availbility of parts, these are good to have on hand if you are going for an alignment or replacing your upper ball joint.
